It’s 11 PM. Your assignment is due at 9 AM, your admit card still needs printing, or a form has to be submitted first thing tomorrow. And every xerox shop nearby is shut. If you’ve ever searched “24 hour printing near me” in a panic, this guide is for you.
The Short Answer
Self-service printing kiosks are open 24/7, so you can print at midnight, on Sundays or on holidays. With QwikPrint, you scan the kiosk’s QR code, upload your file from your phone, pay, and collect your print in about a minute. Black and white prints cost ₹2–3 a page.
Why Is It Hard to Find a Print Shop Open at Night?
Traditional print shops keep fixed hours. Most close by 9 or 10 PM, many shut on Sundays, and almost all close on holidays. Those are often exactly the times students and working people need something printed urgently.
Even when a shop is open, printing takes longer than it should. You wait in a queue, forward your file to the shopkeeper, then explain the copies, colour and page settings, and hope nothing gets lost along the way.
What Is a Self-Service Printing Kiosk?
A self-service printing kiosk is an automated print machine you control entirely from your phone. There’s no operator, no queue and no closing time, and you see the price before you pay.
QwikPrint kiosks are installed in colleges, offices, hostels, metro stations and other places where people print often. Because they run without staff, they stay open through nights, weekends and holidays. Our guide on where printing kiosks work best explains why these spots were chosen.
How Do You Print From Your Phone at a Kiosk?
Scan the kiosk QR. Every QwikPrint kiosk has its own QR code. Scan it with your phone camera.
Upload your document. Pick a file from your phone, laptop or Google Drive. No app or sign-up needed.
Set your print preferences. Choose the number of copies, black and white or colour, single or double-sided, and orientation.
Pay and collect. Pay online, then enter your 4-digit OTP or scan the dynamic QR on the kiosk. Your print comes out straight away.
Files that arrive on WhatsApp work too. Here’s how printing from WhatsApp works.

Is It Safe to Print Personal Documents at a Kiosk?
Yes. With QwikPrint, files are encrypted during transfer and automatically deleted after printing. They’re never stored permanently, and no one else can view or download them. That makes a kiosk a safer choice for ID proofs, Aadhaar copies and personal paperwork than sending files to a shop’s phone.
What Can You Print at the Kiosk?
College assignments, project reports and notes
Resumes and job applications
Admit cards and exam hall tickets
Government forms and ID copies
Tickets, receipts and bills
Tips for Printing Late at Night
Save your file as a PDF. PDFs keep their layout, so what you see on your phone is what prints.
Check the page range. If you only need a few pages, select them before paying.
Keep your phone charged and online. You’ll need mobile data or Wi-Fi to upload and pay.
Double-check the copies. It’s easy to tap 2 instead of 1 when you’re in a hurry.
